I think a lot, and sometimes those thoughts are written down in this notebook and then transferred to this page. Of course, many of these thoughts (and findings from my reading) are incorporated in my essays.
Just thought you'd want to see what's inside my head from time to time. Interesting stuff.
- Man is not truly free. He never will be. What with our being members of a complex species with a highly organized society, each individual is bombarded with several responsibilities. As man frees himself from one obligation, such as being a student, there is another responsibility that he must take on, like working for a living. And man will never be free from his family or loved ones. Ties that bind and gag keep him oppressed. Only the occasional hermit can truly call himself free. And I imagine that hermits must have a pretty boring life.
- Contrary to Christian belief, good and evil can coexist. There are no concrete definitions to good and evil, it is merely the collective idea. Murder, in the eyes of many, is evil. And yet, some individuals may disagree. Therefore there is always a gray area in good and evil.
- Regardless of my previous campaigns against conformity, it must be noted that without some sort of conformity society and civilization as we know it will be chaotic. Rules and laws force men to conform and follow the rest so that order may be established.
That's all for now, more to come later in the future. You are welcome to submit any random thoughts you may have, and I will post them up along with the name of the contribute. E-mail them to me or send them by some other means.
